Just like for the garnishing in sleeping bag, there are various qualities of silk.

Alas certain manufacturers and not of least use for “their silk quilt ”, the silk bourette. The "bourette" is the product of the carding and the spinning of waste (all in all the waste of waste…).

Others use double cocoons, spun by two worms with silk which were locked up in the same cocoon, thus forming large raw characterized by its irregularities. Called "doupion", it makes it possible to obtain for the garnishing of silk quilt a result of a correct quality and an aspect.

We are so proud of our choice that each one of our silk quilt has a small zip fastener on the side, allowing all one each one to check this quality.

In 99% of the cases, when you sleep with a “Couette & Nature”, you will not be able to use any more an ordinary quilt.

How to choose?

The grammage.


This choice is a very personal decision which can depend on the temperature of your body, ambient temperature of your room as well as your practices of thermal comfort.

However, here our councils :

Our model moderate season will be ideal for the majority of the people (sleeping in a slightly heated room 18° and more).
Our model cold season will be more particularly appreciated by those which sleep in a little heated room, or which quite simply prefer a comfortable heat.
In addition, it should be known that the model “Wraps out of silk satin”, for an identical thickness, is slightly hotter than the model “Wraps out of damask cotton”.
